Ghar Tak

Community rules

Last updated: 11 October 2026

Ghar Tak works because neighbours and local shops trust each other. These rules apply to everyone: customers, shops and our team.

Be respectful

No abuse, threats, insults or hateful language in chats, reviews, notes or shop names. The apps block rude words in English, Urdu and Roman Urdu before they are sent.

Be honest

  • Only place orders you intend to receive and pay for.
  • Reviews are for orders you actually received, and should describe your real experience.
  • Shops: show real prices, real stock and real delivery times.
  • Don't use bots, scripts or many accounts to place orders or misuse coupons.

Respect privacy

Use someone's phone number and address only for the order they belong to. Don't share them or contact people for anything else.

Report problems

You can report a message, a review, a shop or a customer from inside the app. Our team looks at every report.

What happens if rules are broken

Depending on how serious it is and whether it keeps happening:

  • a warning;
  • for customers: cash payments paused (wallet and pickup still work), or ordering paused;
  • hiding reviews that break the rules;
  • for shops: being shown lower or not shown to customers, or the shop being taken down.

Some limits are applied automatically, for example after many cancelled orders in 30 days, orders that could not be delivered, repeated reports, or ordering at a speed no person could. A person from our team then reviews it.

Asking for a review

If your account or shop is limited, you can tap "Request review" in the app and tell us what happened. We usually answer within 24 hours, and you'll get a notification with the result.
